Versatile International to provide stone consultancy services across Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya

Versatile International has begun providing end-to-end stone project management consultancy services for Qiddiya City, the major entertainment and tourism destination being developed in Saudi Arabia’s Tuwaiq Mountains.

The consultancy, described by the company as the Middle East region’s first fully integrated stone project management consultancy, was appointed by Qiddiya Investment Company, a unit of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Qiddiya City is being developed across approximately 360 square kilometers and is designed around the concept of the “Power of Play.” The destination will feature a broad mix of entertainment, sports, hospitality, residential and retail developments.

Among its flagship attractions will be Six Flags Qiddiya City, which will include the record-breaking Falcons Flight roller coaster; Aquarabia, Saudi Arabia’s first dedicated water park; the world’s first Dragon Ball Theme Park; and a dedicated Gaming & Esports District.

The development is expected to accommodate around 500,000 residents and attract more than 40 million visitors annually once completed.

Major projects within Qiddiya City also include the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, which is being designed to host major international sporting events including matches during the 2034 FIFA World Cup, as well as a Performing Arts Centre and the Mercedes-AMG World of Performance.

Specialist stone consultancy

Versatile International will provide specialist stone consultancy services across the large-scale development, supporting procurement and project management requirements associated with the extensive use of natural stone.

The company is part of Australian real estate development and construction firm Versatile Group. It established its regional operations six years ago, with offices in Dubai and Riyadh, focusing on supply-chain certainty, risk mitigation and procurement expertise for natural stone used in major destination developments.

The appointment further strengthens Versatile International’s presence in Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom accelerates construction of large-scale tourism, entertainment and urban development projects.

Located approximately 40 minutes from Riyadh, Qiddiya City is emerging as one of the Kingdom’s most prominent giga-projects and a central component of its strategy to expand the entertainment, tourism and leisure sectors.
