35% of Diriyah project infrastructure completed: DGDA
Kiran Haslam, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Diriyah Gate Development
Authority (DGDA), announced that Diriyah Co., a subsidiary of the Public
Investment Fund (PIF), has completed 35% of the infrastructure work for the
Diriyah Gate project as part of its master development plan.
Haslam explained that the company is currently prioritizing the commercial segment of the project.

Square to be the centre of attraction in Diriyah
The development, covering 14 square kilometers, will include 566,000 square
meters of commercial and office spaces, with retail areas making up 5% of the
total area.
Haslam emphasized that the retail sector plays a vital role in achieving the
project's goals, particularly in drawing visitors and driving commercial
activities that benefit other sectors. Several subprojects are currently in
progress to support this vision.
Diriyah Co. was established in 2022 as part of PIF's strategy to implement
the Diriyah Gate development and transform the historic area into a global
cultural hub.

In June 2020, DGDA commenced the first phase of revitalizing and developing
the Diriyah area, with an estimated cost of SAR 75 billion.
