Saudi Arabia's newly promoted club
NEOM has reportedly entered into negotiations with Egypt's Al Ahly to sign
midfielder Emam Ashour during the current summer transfer window.
According to Foot Africa, NEOM has
opened official talks with Al Ahly to explore a potential transfer, although
the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement.
The report said NEOM submitted an
initial offer worth six million U.S. dollars, comprising four million dollars
as a fixed fee and two million dollars in performance-related bonuses. However,
Al Ahly rejected the bid, saying it did not reflect the player's value and
importance to the team.

The Egyptian club is reportedly
seeking a total package of ten million dollars, including eight million dollars
as a guaranteed fee and an additional two million dollars in incentives.
Ashour has been one of Al Ahly's key
performers since joining the club, making more than 80 appearances, scoring
around 30 goals and providing over 15 assists. He has also played a major role
in the club's domestic and continental title successes.
The report added that the
midfielder's strong performances for Egypt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup have
increased his market value and attracted interest from several clubs, including
teams in Saudi Arabia.
