Red Sea Global officially launches operations at AMAALA

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global (RSG) has officially launched operations at its second flagship destination, AMAALA, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 tourism strategy and the expansion of its luxury regenerative tourism portfolio.

The opening of the Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay signals the transition of AMAALA from development into an operational destination, welcoming its first guests to the northwestern Red Sea coast. The launch positions AMAALA as a new global hub for ultra-luxury wellness tourism and the first of eight planned resorts expected to open across the destination in 2026.

A milestone for regenerative luxury tourism

RSG described the debut as a key achievement in its broader mission to develop environmentally responsible, high-end tourism destinations.

“The debut of our first resort at AMAALA is a moment of realization for us,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global. “By delivering this world-class asset to market on schedule, we are demonstrating that regenerative development can combine commercial ambition with meaningful environmental and social impact.”

He added that AMAALA represents the beginning of a broader rollout of luxury resorts that will define the destination’s identity as a global wellness hub.

First resort anchors AMAALA’s development

The Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay serves as the destination’s inaugural operational property and central anchor for its wellness-focused ecosystem. Designed by Dubai-based U+A, the resort integrates luxury hospitality with sustainability principles aligned with RSG’s regenerative tourism model.

The property operates on 100% renewable energy and incorporates zero-waste systems intended to reduce environmental impact while supporting conservation efforts across the region.

Facilities and guest experience

The resort features a range of ultra-luxury amenities designed for wellness-focused and multi-generational travel:

  • Accommodation: 202 guest rooms, suites, and garden villas overlooking the Red Sea, alongside 26 private branded residences with individual pools, ranging from 552 to over 1,000 square meters
  • Wellness and fitness: The 2,095-square-meter HYLIAA Wellness & Spa, supported by a 511-square-meter fitness center offering tailored programs including sound therapy and beach yoga
  • Dining: Six open-air restaurants, including MAA Social and the cliffside ROCK BAAR
  • Family facilities: Five swimming pools, a 900-meter private beach, and dedicated children’s and teenage activity programs
  • Events and business: More than 1,000 square meters of flexible event space for corporate retreats, weddings, and conferences
  • Destination integration: Access to broader AMAALA attractions including the Corallium Marine Life Institute, AMAALA Yacht Club, and Marina Village retail and dining offerings

Expansion of AMAALA and broader Vision 2030 goals

The launch marks the beginning of a phased rollout across AMAALA, which is expected to feature more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts when fully developed.

RSG said the destination will continue to expand rapidly through 2026, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s ambition to establish itself as a leading global center for luxury and wellness tourism.

The development also reflects the broader Vision 2030 strategy to diversify the Kingdom’s economy away from oil dependence through large-scale tourism and infrastructure projects.
