SLS
The Red Sea formally opens on Shura Island
SLS The Red Sea has officially
opened on Shura Island, introducing the brand’s signature fusion of theatrical
design, vibrant social energy, and experiential luxury to one of the world’s
most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations.
Located at the heart of Shura
Island, the resort is framed by sugar-white sands, crystal-clear waters,
and lush tropical landscaping. It seamlessly integrates destination dining,
wellness, and entertainment within an environmentally conscious setting that
reflects the Red Sea’s natural beauty.
Location
and access
The resort is conveniently
positioned just 20 minutes from Red
Sea International Airport by boat or seaplane, or 25 minutes by car. Guests
enjoy immediate access to Shura Island’s expanding hospitality ecosystem,
including coral reefs, protected marine reserves, a yacht marina, and curated
retail experiences. Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course, is

Design
Designed by Foster + Partners, SLS
The Red Sea is defined by its striking coral bloom-inspired architecture.
Sinuous pathways weave through vibrant landscaping, connecting the resort’s
sculptural buildings. Playful design elements—such as mischievous monkey motifs
and the debut of the iconic SLS duck in Saudi Arabia—add a layer of personality
and surprise throughout the property.
Rooms
and villas
The resort features 150 luxury
accommodations, comprising 117 guestrooms, 18 suites, and 15 private villas.
Interiors showcase natural textures paired with bold detailing, while elevated
in-room amenities include Ortigia Ambra Nera bath products, embroidered SLS
robes, and premium non-alcoholic spirits.
The beachfront villas offer
expansive living spaces complete with private pools, terraces, and dedicated
lounges, allowing guests to experience both privacy and the dynamic rhythm of
the resort.

Culinary
experiences
Dining is central to the SLS The Red
Sea experience. Five distinctive venues anchor the resort’s culinary offering,
including London favourite Seabird, Japanese concept Floating World, Fi’lia’s
debut in Saudi Arabia, artisanal cuisine at Deluxe, and sunset dining at The
Perch. Together, they create a destination dining hub designed to appeal to a
wide range of tastes and occasions.
Wellness
and entertainment
Balancing high-energy social spaces
with moments of restoration, the Ciel Spa features outdoor hydro pools, a water
circuit, and bespoke treatment rooms. Meanwhile, the SLS Pool serves as the
resort’s social epicentre, conceived to host world-class DJs and large-scale
events—underscoring the brand’s commitment to lifestyle-driven, high-impact
hospitality.
