Red Sea Global venturing into hotel management

Red Sea Global expanding footprint in hotel management

Red Sea Global, the Saudi Arabian project developer, is expanding its presence in the hotel management sector, supported by substantial funding from one of the world's largest state wealth funds. The ambitious plan includes the development of various projects such as the Sheybarah overwater villa project, a mountain-embedded luxury hotel with 60 rooms, and a private island named Thuwal near Jeddah.

With a goal to open 16 hotels by 2025 and an additional 34 by 2030, Red Sea Global Hospitality operates as a department within Red Sea Global rather than as an independent company. Noteworthy is its collaboration with global hotel operators for the majority of these ventures.

To support the growing venture, Red Sea Global Hospitality is actively recruiting key positions, such as general and resort managers, chefs, and various department heads.

Red Sea Global's contribution to Saudi Vision 2030

Owned entirely by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Red Sea Global is a key player in Saudi Arabia's tourism development, benefitting from PIF's substantial assets exceeding $600 billion. Sebastien Carre, previously with Four Seasons for over two decades, has been appointed as the head of hospitality to lead the team in crafting a world-class experience.

Noteworthy is Red Sea Global's intention to expand beyond Saudi Arabia, with plans for self-operated hotels and giga-projects. CEO John Pagano revealed the development of more affordable hotel options to be unveiled before 2030, introducing thousands of hotel rooms to the kingdom's tourism sector.

Pagano emphasized the strategic focus on the mid-market segment, targeting different audiences and locations along the entire Red Sea coast. While developments in Europe are in the pipeline, the current emphasis remains on Saudi Arabia, aligning with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 to diversify the economy.

Red Sea Global Hospitality stands as a prominent participant in the flourishing hospitality and tourism sector in the Middle East, contributing to the broader mission of economic diversification initiated by Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
