Laheq Island: Combination of luxury and hospitality at Saudi Red Sea Coast
Set to debut in 2028, Laheq Island is poised to redefine ultra-luxury island
living in Saudi Arabia. As the first Red Sea Global (RSG) development offering private
residential ownership, Laheq blends sustainable design, world-class
hospitality, and immersive lifestyle experiences across a breathtaking natural
landscape.
A landmark development by Red Sea Global—the visionary force behind The
Red Sea and AMAALA—Laheq Island introduces a new residential
community nestled within one of the world’s most ecologically rich and visually
stunning archipelagos.
Having already welcomed guests since 2023, The Red Sea destination currently
boasts five operational luxury resorts and its own international airport. With
Laheq Island, RSG expands its portfolio by offering a unique proposition: own a
slice of paradise in one of Saudi Arabia’s most pristine marine environments.

“Whether visiting or living, Laheq offers an elevated lifestyle where
nature, community, and luxury intersect,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red
Sea Global.
A New Standard for Ownership on the Red Sea
Laheq Island is one of 92 islands off Saudi Arabia’s western coast, selected
for its ecological significance and beauty. Surrounded by one of the world’s
largest barrier reef systems, the island features crystal-clear waters, soft
white sands, and a protected marine ecosystem.
Residences at Laheq are inspired by the island’s natural palette—timber,
stone, and lush vegetation form elegant canopies, shaded courtyards, and garden
retreats. These homes are thoughtfully integrated into the environment to
provide an immersive, serene escape.
World-Class Amenities
Laheq Island offers a full suite of recreational and wellness amenities
tailored for refined island living. Residents and guests can enjoy:
·
A marina for yachting and watersports
·

·

coastal views

The island will also be home to two luxury resorts: one dedicated to wellness
and rejuvenation, and the other offering a dynamic, energetic vibe perfect for
social and adventure-minded travelers.
Design that Honors Nature
Master-planned by renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners, Laheq’s
design follows the concept of the “Forever Garden”, a lush, immersive landscape
where architecture blends seamlessly with nature.
The heart of the island is “The Ring,” an iconic 800-meter diameter
structure encircling a pristine lagoon. Within this signature feature will be
luxury apartments, upscale retail, and hospitality spaces—designed to foster
connection while offering stunning panoramic views.
“Our design is a tribute to Laheq’s natural beauty—a serene garden that
stimulates the senses,” said Norman Foster, Founder and Executive Chairman,
Foster + Partners.
A Model for Regenerative Tourism
True to Red Sea Global’s mission, Laheq Island exemplifies regenerative
tourism—a philosophy that seeks not just to preserve, but to enhance the
environment.
RSG is actively restoring marine ecosystems, including the planting of 50
million mangroves and the protection of coral reefs across the Red Sea. Once
fully developed, The Red Sea destination—including Laheq—will be powered
entirely by 100% renewable energy.

A Vision for 2030 and Beyond
Laheq is part of RSG’s broader strategy to support Vision 2030, positioning
Saudi Arabia as a global destination for luxury tourism, real estate
investment, and sustainable development.
By 2030, RSG will complete all 16 resorts under Phase One of The Red Sea.
Upon full completion, the destination will include 50 resorts, over 8,000 hotel
rooms, and 1,000+ residential units across 22 islands and six inland sites. The
dedicated Red Sea International Airport ensures seamless global access for
residents and travelers alike.
