Laheq Island at Red Sea to offer top amenities and unique hospitality

Red Sea Global (RSG) has unveiled Laheq Island as the first residential-focused development at The Red Sea, marking a significant milestone for luxury living in Saudi Arabia. Set to open in 2028, Laheq promises an exceptional blend of private residences and resort-style living, complete with top-tier amenities and a unique fusion of hospitality and property ownership.

Spanning 400 hectares, Laheq is part of a stunning 92-island archipelago off the western coast of Saudi Arabia. The island boasts pristine white sand beaches, thriving coral reefs, and direct access to the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef, offering an unparalleled natural environment.

This project marks the expansion of RSG’s vision beyond the initial phase of The Red Sea development, which already includes five operational hotels and a dedicated airport.

Designed by renowned global architects Foster + Partners, Laheq’s masterplan embraces the theme of a “Forever Garden,” prioritizing lush landscapes and sustainable green spaces. At the heart of the development is The Ring, an 800-meter structure that encircles the island’s serene lagoon. This iconic feature will house luxury apartments, high-end hotels, and a variety of retail options.

John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, commented, “Laheq will introduce a new era of luxury island living to the Kingdom, representing our evolution from hospitality-centric resorts to fully integrated communities. It aligns seamlessly with Vision 2030’s aspirations for economic diversification and enhanced quality of life.”

Laheq residents and guests will enjoy a range of world-class amenities, including two luxury hotels — one dedicated to wellness and the other to vibrant lifestyle experiences. Other highlights include a 115-berth marina, an 18-hole golf course, a racket club, sports fields, exclusive beach clubs, diverse dining options, and a traditional souq.

As part of RSG’s commitment to regenerative tourism, all operations at The Red Sea, including Laheq, will be powered by 100% renewable energy. In addition, the island will play a pivotal role in RSG’s environmental initiatives, which include planting and preserving 50 million mangroves and regenerating Red Sea coral reefs.

Once fully completed in 2030, The Red Sea development will feature 50 resorts and more than 1,000 residential properties, with Laheq Island being managed by Red Sea Residences.

This project is set to redefine luxury island living, bringing sustainable and vibrant communities to the heart of the Red Sea.
