L&T grants Vrinda Nano Technologies contract to supply
wireless monitoring boxes for NEOM
L&T has granted Vrinda Nano Technologies (VNT), based in
Gurugram, the contract to supply wireless string monitoring boxes for the NEOM
Renewables project in Oxagon, Saudi Arabia.
NEOM developers have assigned Larsen & Toubro the
engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a massive green
hydrogen complex, including a 2.2 GWac PV solar plant, a 1.65 GW wind
generation balance plant, and a 400 MWh battery energy storage system. The NEOM
Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) plans to use renewable wind and solar power to
produce up to 600 tonnes of green hydrogen daily by 2026.

VNT's Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Almadi, and CEO/Director,
Rahul Sharma, expressed their joy at securing the contract, emphasizing their
pride in contributing Indian-developed technology to the world's largest green
hydrogen mission. The wireless string monitoring boxes provided by VNT are
designed to withstand harsh conditions, including sandstorms, and feature
redundant wireless networking capabilities, facilitating seamless power plant
monitoring down to the string level.
