Saudi Arabia issues three new yachting licenses to promote tourism
Saudi Arabia has issued three new yacht rental licences to Mayassar
Nooraldeen Al-Hadded Company, Seem Private Company, and Ocean Breeze Company,
increasing the total number of licensed operators along the Red Sea to eight.
The licences, granted by the Saudi Red Sea Authority, are part of the kingdom’s broader push to regulate maritime activities while promoting tourism in line with Vision 2030. Companies were required to meet stringent technical, operational, safety, security, and environmental standards before approval.

Officials say the move aims to enhance service
quality and develop a structured yachting ecosystem across the Red Sea, while
safeguarding the region’s marine environment.
Yacht licensing is also part of a larger
strategy to boost coastal tourism, with the Red Sea aiming to attract 19
million visitors by 2030. The destination, managed by Red Sea Global (RSG), includes
island resorts such as Shebara and Shura Island, with plans for 11 hotels and a
marina upon full completion.
Further north, the upcoming Amaala development will feature the Amaala Yacht Club, a four-storey facility with a 120-berth marina designed to host yachting events and regattas. Amaala is also set to host the finale of The Ocean Race Europe in 2027, marking the event’s first stop in the Red Sea.
