Artwork at Neom Airport celebrates Saudi and Brazilian cultural ties
A new artwork celebrating cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Brazil has
been unveiled at Neom
Bay Airport by the Royal Institute of
Traditional Arts (Wrth).
The installation, titled “Harmony,” is part of
an initiative to showcase traditional Saudi arts in public spaces while
introducing visitors to the Kingdom’s cultural heritage.
Standing 4 meters tall, the piece features a
circular design that weaves together fabric threads, geometric patterns, and
nature-inspired elements to reflect connections between Saudi and Brazilian
artistic traditions.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the artwork
highlights the richness of both cultures through its use of materials, colors,
and detailed craftsmanship. It took more than 400 hours to complete and
incorporates pearls, crystal, and traditional textiles, blending heritage
techniques with a modern artistic approach.
“Harmony” was created by Wrth student Haya
Al-Naima in collaboration with artists Sarah Al-Jasser and Sarah Al-Harbi,
alongside Brazilian artist Carmen Lenartowicz. The project supports Wrth’s goal
of using airports as cultural platforms to welcome travelers and showcase Saudi
identity.
Previously, Wrth introduced artworks at
Terminal 5 of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, including “Clay
Lineage” in 2024 and “Unity” in 2025. In 2026, it also unveiled “Insidal” at
the Al-Fursan Lounge in Cairo International Airport.
