Hewlett Packard collaborates with Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global to expand tourism

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a new collaboration with Red Sea Global (RSG) to deliver an advanced, AI-native networking infrastructure supporting the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s high-end tourism destinations.

Through this partnership, HPE is deploying a self-driving network built on HPE Aruba Networking to provide secure, scalable, and always-on connectivity across RSG’s growing portfolio, including The Red Sea and AMAALA projects. The system is designed to enhance guest experiences while supporting sustainability and operational efficiency.

The network adopts a Wi-Fi-first approach, enabling seamless digital services across vast resort areas. It can handle up to 20,000 simultaneous users, ensuring high-speed connectivity for activities such as HD streaming and personalized digital interactions. The infrastructure includes around 17,000 access points and 10,000 networking devices, forming a comprehensive system from data centers to on-site operations.

The solution also integrates HPE Aruba Central AIOps for automation and performance insights, alongside CX switching and EdgeConnect Enterprise SD-WAN technology to improve network efficiency, security, and application performance across multiple locations.

Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Red Sea Global’s developments are expected to contribute $8.79 billion annually to the national economy and generate up to 120,000 jobs upon completion. The advanced network will also support smart destination management, including real-time environmental monitoring and data-driven operations.
