Saudi Arabia launches Adrena at Red Sea Global as new adventure hub

Adrena is situated just minutes from Shura Island

Adrena becomes the newest destination at Red Sea Global to offer high-energy adventure

Adventure has a bold new home. Red Sea Global (RSG), the force behind The Red Sea and AMAALA, has announced the launch of ADRENA — a high-energy adventure and entertainment district opening to the public on 1 March 2026, following a soft launch for invited guests from 15 February.

Situated just minutes from Shura Island, ADRENA is designed as a dynamic playground for thrill-seekers, families, and social explorers alike. Blending action sports, leisure attractions, and vibrant nightlife, the district delivers immersive experiences within a sustainably designed coastal setting.

High-octane experiences

At the heart of ADRENA is Saudi Arabia’s largest saltwater surf pool — stretching 215 meters and generating fully customizable waves reaching up to 2.1 meters, suitable for beginners through to seasoned surfers.

The lineup of attractions includes:

·        A wakeboarding lake and snorkelling trails

·        A six-metre-deep diving pool

·        A children’s splash zone and floating inflatable obstacle course

·        A skatepark, BMX pump track, and beach sports courts for football and volleyball

·        Signature thrill rides such as an overwater zipline and a 10-metre-high “slip ‘n’ fly” slide

“ADRENA is more than a destination for thrills — it captures the spirit of coastal living: freedom, connection, and community,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global. “Sustainability has guided every element of its design, ensuring unforgettable experiences from sunrise to sunset.”

Social energy meets seaside luxury

Beyond its adrenaline-fuelled attractions, ADRENA doubles as a lively social hub. Guests can unwind at a beach club, enjoy live music programming, and relax by an infinity pool overlooking the Red Sea at sunset. Dining options spotlight South American cuisine alongside a curated mocktail menu, served into the evening.

Built for inclusivity and sustainability

Accessibility is woven into the design, with zero-depth pool entries and adaptable experiences catering to guests with mobility requirements. Environmental responsibility remains central, with a closed-loop seawater system powering the pools and recycled freshwater used for irrigation to reduce ecological impact.

Operated by Red Sea Sports & Entertainment Co. — which also manages WAMA (water sports), Galaxea (underwater adventures), and Akun (land-based activities) — ADRENA offers world-class facilities while encouraging exploration beyond its borders into the surrounding natural environment.

Since welcoming its first visitors in 2023, The Red Sea has expanded to nine operating hotels, in addition to the exclusive Thuwal Private Retreat. Red Sea International Airport connects the destination with direct flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha, and Milan, further cementing its status as one of the region’s fastest-growing tourism hotspots.
