Gate’s Wadi Safar Project to feature a collection of luxury hotels
Wadi Safar was among the first developments
announced as part of the wider Diriyah project. The mixed-use destination
features residential communities, farm plots, hotels, branded villas, a golf
course, an equestrian and polo club, along with a range of leisure and entertainment
facilities. Construction is already under way on several assets within the
development.
In July last year, Diriyah Company awarded an
estimated SR8 billion ($2 billion) contract to a joint venture between local
contractor Albawani and Qatar’s Urbacon Trading & Contracting to deliver
multiple Wadi Safar assets. These include the Aman Wadi Safar hotel and
residences, Six Senses hotel, Chedi hotel and residences, Faena hotel and
residences, the Royal Diriyah Equestrian & Polo Club (excluding enabling
works), the North and South Fairways retail facilities and mosque, and the
Grove retail facilities, mosque and clinics.
So far this year, Diriyah Company has awarded
main construction contracts valued at more than SR24 billion ($6.5 billion). In
November, the developer announced two contracts worth over SR5.7 billion ($1.5
