Saudi Arabia: Rotortrade, SILZ to establish maintenance, sales and services hub in Riyadh

Global helicopter distributor Rotortrade has partnered with the Special Integrated Logistics Zone Co. (SILZ) to establish a new maintenance, sales, and services hub in Riyadh, marking the Singapore-based company’s entry into the Saudi market.

The Rotortrade HeliPark will cover approximately 6,000 square meters across three floors and will offer a full range of services, including aircraft sales, maintenance, repair, completions, and customer support, according to a joint statement.

Designed to serve as a regional operating base, the facility supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to attract foreign investment in advanced aviation services. Design work is expected to be completed by February 2026, with construction scheduled to begin immediately afterward and completion targeted within the same year.

The project follows Rotortrade’s acquisition by The Helicopter Co., which is owned by the Public Investment Fund, and forms part of a wider strategy to expand the company’s global presence.

The development aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, both of which aim to position the Kingdom as a leading global hub for aviation and logistics.

Philippe Lubrano, founder and CEO of Rotortrade, said the HeliPark reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC. He described it as more than a facility, noting that clients will be able to view aircraft, experience premium hospitality, and access end-to-end services under one roof.

Lubrano added that the project supports Rotortrade’s ambition to become the world’s leading global helicopter dealership, offering a unique value proposition within the rotorcraft industry.

Fadi Al-Buhairan, CEO of SILZ, said the agreement diversifies services at Riyadh Integrated and provides critical infrastructure to accelerate its transformation into a multimodal logistics hub. He added that attracting aviation service providers like Rotortrade strengthens global trade links, supports the localization of advanced technical skills, creates jobs, and reinforces Saudi Arabia’s role as a regional aviation center.

Al-Buhairan noted that the investment reflects SILZ’s commitment to Vision 2030 by building local helicopter maintenance and technical capabilities, boosting exports, and creating specialized career opportunities.

The facility will feature multiple helipads, dedicated helicopter display areas, and a comprehensive service center offering maintenance, repairs, and operational support. It will also include a high-end hospitality area with dedicated spaces for hosting clients, VIPs, government officials, and partners, combining business engagement with industry
