AlUla is rapidly establishing itself as a world-class hub for equestrian sports, drawing from its rich historical legacy that dates back thousands of years, as reflected in the region's ancient rock inscriptions. These carvings vividly depict the deep and enduring bond between humans and horses.

As the world celebrates World Horse Day on July 11, AlUla stands at the forefront, showcasing its unique blend of heritage and modern sporting excellence. The region plays host to several prestigious events, including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup, the world’s richest endurance race, as well as the AlUla International Tent Pegging Championship, the Horseback Archery World Cup, and other high-profile equestrian competitions.
