NEOM McLaren Electric Racing unveils striking new livery for 2025 London E-Prix

NEOM McLaren Electric Racing unveils new livery in London

NEOM McLaren Electric Racing has unveiled a dynamic new livery ahead of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season finale in London, set for July 26–27. Created in collaboration with Oxagon, NEOM’s reimagined industrial city, the design blends bold, vibrant tones inspired by Oxagon’s identity with McLaren’s iconic papaya orange, bringing a fresh visual identity to the team’s race cars, helmets, and driver suits.

The reveal took place at McLaren Racing’s “Never Stop Racing” event in Trafalgar Square, London — a celebration of motorsport, innovation, and fan engagement. The new design has been dubbed the team’s “away kit,” representing not just a stylistic refresh but also a deeper connection to the vision of Oxagon and its role in NEOM’s transformation.

“This livery is more than just a new look — it’s a symbol of purposeful design rooted in innovation,” said Ian James, Team Principal of NEOM McLaren Electric Racing. “It showcases Oxagon as a core part of NEOM’s future and reflects our shared commitment to driving meaningful change through collaboration and technology.”

The partnership between McLaren and Oxagon is focused on redefining the intersection of sport, sustainability, and industrial progress. By aligning McLaren’s engineering precision with Oxagon’s mission for advanced, clean manufacturing, the collaboration aims to accelerate real-world industrial transformation.

Vishal Wanchoo, CEO of Oxagon, emphasized the significance of the partnership: “By fusing McLaren’s legacy of performance with our clean industrial vision, we’re not just shaping motorsport — we’re shaping the future of sustainable industry.”

A key initiative born of this collaboration is the Oxagon x McLaren Accelerator Program, launched in 2023 to support deep-tech startups. Two successful cohorts have completed the 12-week program, with several pilot projects already underway in NEOM and broader commercial opportunities emerging across Saudi Arabia.

In 2024 alone, four of the seven participating startups were selected to pilot technologies in critical areas such as health and safety, worker wellbeing, robotic container handling, and condition-based maintenance at Oxagon’s port.
