Saudi company awarded five-year ground handling deal at Red Sea International Airport
Saudi Ground Services (SGS) has signed a five-year agreement to provide
comprehensive ground handling services at Red Sea International Airport (RSI),
marking a major step toward operational excellence and sustainability in the
Kingdom’s aviation sector.
The contract, awarded by Red Sea Global (RSG)
and daa International, the airport’s operator, ensures SGS will manage ground
services for all airlines operating at RSI. These services will align with the
Kingdom’s highest operational and environmental sustainability standards, in
support of Vision 2030.
The agreement was formally signed by John
Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global; Mohammad A. Mazi, CEO of Saudi Ground Services;
and Andy Tyler-Smith, CEO of Red Sea International Airport. The signing was
attended by key executives and stakeholders from the aviation and airport
services sectors.

“This partnership with SGS lays the
foundation for a seamless, sustainable guest experience at RSI,” said
Tyler-Smith. “As the airport prepares to run entirely on renewable energy, this
collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation and environmental
leadership in aviation.”
John Pagano emphasized the alignment
between RSI’s sustainability goals and SGS’s operational capabilities, calling
it a partnership that “sets a new standard for ground handling in Saudi
Arabia.”
SGS
to Deliver Full Suite of Ground Services
Under the agreement, SGS will manage
a wide range of ground handling operations including:
- Passenger services within the terminal and across The
Red Sea resorts
- Aircraft marshalling, pushback, towing, and ground
power connection
- Full baggage handling and apron operations
The deal also introduces a competitive
pricing structure, positioning RSI as one of the most efficiently serviced
airports in the country.
