Saudi Arabia to develop a modern performing arts centre
in Qiddiya City
Saudi Arabia has announced the development of a state-of-the-art
Performing Arts Centre in Qiddiya City, the massive sports and entertainment
hub on the outskirts of Riyadh. Designed to attract over 800,000 visitors
annually, the venue will host more than 260 performances across three immersive
theatres, offering a total seating capacity of 3,000.
Innovative Design & Technology
The Qiddiya Performing Arts Centre will feature
striking architectural elements, including a cantilevered amphitheatre
overlooking the Qiddiya City plateau and a 500-seat suspended venue. Each
theatre will integrate virtual reality, augmented reality, and AI, delivering
groundbreaking digital-physical experiences.
Beyond its performance spaces, the centre will
also house rooftop gardens, art galleries, and green spaces, creating a dynamic
cultural destination.

Qiddiya City is set to become a global
entertainment powerhouse, featuring dedicated districts for gaming, esports,
and leisure. The 500,000-square-meter esports centre will host up to 25
professional teams at a time and serve as the regional headquarters for over 30
video game companies, targeting 10 million visitors annually by 2030.
Other major attractions in Qiddiya City
include a speed park, golf courses, a water theme park, and Six Flags Qiddiya,
solidifying its position as a premier entertainment destination.
