NEOM and Paradromics join hands to bring qualitative change in neurological care
Saudi Arabia’s ambitious $500 billion NEOM project has announced a strategic investment in Paradromics, a leading American company specializing in brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. This collaboration aims to drive advancements in healthcare by developing innovative BCI therapies to restore neurological function for individuals with impairments.
The partnership, unveiled on February 12, includes the establishment of a Brain-Computer Interface Center of Excellence within NEOM. This center will spearhead cutting-edge clinical research and position NEOM as a global leader in BCI-based healthcare, particularly within the MENA region.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Health Sector Transformation Program, launched in 2021, which seeks to create an efficient and integrated healthcare system. The program emphasizes innovation, financial sustainability, disease prevention, and broader access to healthcare services, including the expansion of e-health and digital solutions to improve care quality and meet international standards.
