Wellness focused Ritz-Carlton to be introduced in Saudi Arabia's AMAALA
Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced a strategic partnership with Marriott
International to introduce a wellness-focused Ritz-Carlton in Saudi Arabia.
This new resort will be part of the luxury wellness development at AMAALA,
marking the fourth collaboration between the two organizations.
Scheduled to open in 2025, the Ritz-Carlton will be located at the
northernmost point of Triple Bay, a key area within the AMAALA project. The
property will feature 391 guest rooms, with 80 percent offering stunning water
views, alongside options showcasing Marina Village, sea, and mountain vistas.
In an interview with Arab News during the Future Hospitality Summit in
Dubai, Lindsay Madden-Nadeau, senior director of wellness strategy at RSG,
emphasized the importance of collaboration in enhancing AMAALA’s wellness
offerings. “We’re continually exploring brands and experiences that can elevate
our existing wellness portfolio,” she said. “Collaboration is key in today’s
landscape.”

The resort's design, crafted by Foster + Partners, aims to harmonize with
the natural sand dune landscape, preserving shaded areas while providing varied
sea views from multiple locations.
This announcement follows previous successful partnerships, including the
St. Regis Red Sea Resort, Nujuma—a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and the signing of The
Red Sea EDITION.
The architecture of the new Ritz-Carlton will reflect the local design
influences of Al Wajh, a nearby coastal town, incorporating traditional
craftsmanship alongside modern features. Madden-Nadeau noted AMAALA’s unique
position as a destination, highlighting how each operator contributes a
distinctive advantage.
The new resort will offer a wide range of leisure and wellness amenities,
including several dining venues with sunset views, a spa, fitness and
recreational facilities, as well as both adult and family pools, and a rock
pool.

Expansive event spaces will also be available, featuring a ballroom and
meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 1,500 guests, ideal for weddings,
conferences, and corporate events.
Focused on delivering a premier wellness and luxury tourism experience, the
first phase of the Triple Bay masterplan is set to welcome guests in 2025. This
initial phase will include eight resorts with over 1,400 hotel keys, with the
full AMAALA development ultimately offering more than 4,000 hotel rooms across
30 hotels, along with approximately 1,200 luxury residential units, including
villas and apartments, as well as retail and dining options.
Madden-Nadeau also hinted at exciting future developments, stating, “Over
the next six months, we anticipate announcing three additional brands. Two of
these will focus on wellness, complementing our current offerings. We are also
exploring the creation of our own wellness brand and developing a unique asset
that will introduce something disruptive to the market.”
