First Saudi Paperback - Art Book Fair to be hosted by Diriyah Biennale Foundation
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation will host the first-ever PaperBack – Art
Book Fair from November 1–3, 2024, at JAX District in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
This inaugural cultural event aims to bring together a wide range of artists,
independent presses, publishers, zine makers, booksellers, cultural
organizations, and academic institutions.
The fair will feature 25 participants from 16 countries, including China,
Egypt, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Netherlands, the
Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, and the UK.
This diverse lineup promises a unique platform for cultural exchange,
showcasing works from renowned art and publishing communities around the globe.

Notable participants include Brownbook, a Gulf-based cultural
magazine; the Cairo Art Book Fair; Set Margins from the
Netherlands; 51 Personae, a collective from China; Kaph Books
from Lebanon, specializing in Arab art books; and Japan’s shashasha,
an online photo and art book shop.
The PaperBack – Art Book Fair is expected to attract collectors, art lovers,
and cultural enthusiasts from around the world, fostering a community dedicated
to the appreciation of art books and independent publishing.
