NEOM to use green concrete for construction projects
NEOM has signed a partnership agreement with Asas Al-Muhaileb Company to
establish a factory complex dedicated to producing ready-mixed green concrete,
with an investment of up to SR700 million.
The complex will feature several specialized factories to support
construction activities for The Line, an innovative city currently under
development in NEOM. Asas Al-Muhaileb, a Saudi firm specializing in
construction and engineering, will oversee the construction and subsequent
operation of the factories, which are expected to produce over 20,000 cubic
meters of ready-mixed green concrete daily.

Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, stated, “The establishment of the concrete
factories complex marks a significant achievement, reflecting the continuous
progress of NEOM projects. It underscores the leadership of the construction
sector in Saudi Arabia and the vital role of local partnerships in executing
this exceptional, sustainable initiative efficiently.”
The advanced facility will incorporate cutting-edge sustainability
solutions, including carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology and
energy-efficient practices. A majority of the concrete produced will be
utilized in constructing The Line.
Operations are slated to begin next month, supported by a fleet of
specialized equipment and vehicles, with full operations expected by 2025. The
complex is anticipated to create over 500 new local jobs.
