Multinational consortium secures contract for Port of NEOM

A consortium consisting of Hassan Allam Construction Saudi (Egypt), Riyadh-based El Seif Engineering Contracting, and China Harbour Engineering Arabia has been awarded a major construction contract for the Port of NEOM in Oxagon.

The contract encompasses engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) responsibilities for the development of Container Terminal 1 and the Marine Services Area (MSA) at the Port of NEOM, as announced by Hassan Allam Holding on Sunday.

This contract involves designing and constructing the MSA and Terminal 1 buildings, as well as developing the infrastructure and entrance zone for the new terminal, which is scheduled to open in 2025.

While financial details of the contract were not disclosed, the Port of NEOM is set to offer a range of services, including container handling, general cargo, bulk goods, and roll-on/roll-off ferry operations.

Strategically located, the port will enhance global and regional connectivity, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 maritime and economic goals.
