Red Sea Global: Development work on fast pace at Turtle Bay
Hospital
Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer of regenerative tourism
destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has announced significant progress on the
Turtle Bay Hospital project. Located in The Red Sea’s Turtle Bay area, the
hospital will provide world-class healthcare to the community of residents,
employees, and visitors of the 1.5 million m² waterfront site.
As The Red Sea destination prepares to welcome approximately
300,000 guests annually with the completion of its first phase of resorts next
year, Turtle Bay will also become home to about 14,000 employees and their
families. These individuals will benefit from easy access to high-quality
healthcare and medical services.

RSG announced today that it has received design approval
from the Ministry of Health (MOH) for Turtle Bay Hospital, marking a
significant milestone for the project. This is the first Public Investment Fund
(PIF)-funded project to achieve MOH architectural approval, a crucial step
toward commencing operations for this world-class facility.
“Securing this approval is a momentous occasion for our
team, who are working tirelessly to ensure first-class healthcare is available
at The Red Sea. Our vision for Turtle Bay Hospital as a state-of-the-art
facility is part of our broader ambition to deliver a robust healthcare
ecosystem for our growing project portfolio,” said Nicholas King, Group Chief
Development Officer at Red Sea Global.
“The health and wellbeing of our guests and employees are
our priority. We are proud to collaborate with numerous Saudi partners for the
construction, operation, and supply of medical equipment for the hospital. We
eagerly anticipate the completion of Turtle Bay Hospital, which is set to open
at the end of next year,” he added.

The construction contract for the new hospital was awarded
to Abdullah Saeed Alsayed & Partners Contracting Company, which is set to
mobilize on site imminently. StewardAlf Global Healthcare Company, a joint
venture between Alf Healthcare (the healthcare arm of Saudi-based Alfanar) and
international healthcare provider Steward Health Care International, was
awarded the operator contract in early 2022.
The medical equipment contract for the hospital was also
awarded to AlfHealthcare earlier this year. Once operational, the hospital will
offer a range of primary and secondary care services, including diagnostics,
internal medicine, cardiology, urology, orthopedics, women’s health, and
emergency care. A hyperbaric chamber will be integrated into the facility’s Emergency
Department, providing primary treatment for diving incidents and
barotrauma-related injuries.
Additionally, RSG announced that the architectural plans for
The Red Sea International Airport Clinic have received MOH approval. The
construction of this urgent care clinic is over 60% complete and is on track to
be fully operational by December of this year.

completed in late 2025, with the sub-structure already finished.
Upon full completion in 2030, The Red Sea will comprise 50
resorts offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential properties
across 22 islands and six inland sites. The destination will also feature
luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, food and beverage, and leisure
