Red Sea Global (RSG)
receives prestigious Mostadam Diamond Certification for Turtle Bay Hotel
Saudi Arabia's Red Sea
Global (RSG) has achieved a significant milestone by receiving the prestigious
Mostadam Diamond Certification for its flagship Turtle Bay Hotel, making it the
first real estate company in Saudi Arabia to attain this recognition. The award
was presented under the auspices of Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and
Housing, Majid bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Hoqail, in acknowledgment of RSG's
steadfast commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly
construction practices. This commitment encompasses energy efficiency,
renewable energy adoption, water conservation, improved connectivity, enhanced
well-being, and integrated construction waste management.
Turtle Bay Hotel,
which boasts 144 keys arranged in various blocks overlooking the Red Sea,
embodies these sustainable principles.
Red
Sea Global and Zain KSA forge partnership to launch zero-carbon 5G network
Mostadam, with its
expertise and guidance, plays a pivotal role in fostering vibrant and
sustainable communities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. RSG has
collaborated closely with the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing
to help formulate the innovative Mostadam criteria. Together, they are
spearheading the development of sustainable and ecologically responsible
communities, setting the stage for a more environmentally friendly housing
sector for both present and future generations.
John Pagano, CEO of
RSG Group, emphasized their consistent commitment to sustainable practices
throughout their projects, from initial design to daily operations. They have
chosen to power their developments using 100% renewable energy sources and have
integrated state-of-the-art waste management systems into their infrastructure.
This certification serves as a testament to their unwavering dedication to
sustainability, regenerative tourism development, and environmental
stewardship.
RSG has gone the extra
mile by constructing five solar farms, enabling the first phase of The Red Sea
to operate entirely off-grid, powered exclusively by solar energy, with over
760,000 solar panels in operation. In addition, the group recently announced a
multi-utilities concessions agreement for Amaala, with both destinations
collectively aiming to reduce one million tons of CO2 emissions annually.
The Red Sea region is
also home to the largest landscape nursery in the area, responsible for
cultivating approximately four million trees, plants, and shrubs. RSG has
further opened a state-of-the-art nursery to care for mangrove seedlings, with
plans to plant 50 million mangroves by 2030 in dedicated parks across the
destination.
Significant
progress witnessed at Red Sea Global's Amaala Project
The Red Sea will soon
welcome guests as the first three hotels open their doors, alongside the
inauguration of the Red Sea International Airport for domestic flights. Upon
its full completion in 2030, the destination will encompass 50 resorts offering
up to 8,000 hotel rooms and over 1,000 residential properties across 22 islands
and six inland sites. The development will also feature luxury marinas, golf
courses, entertainment, dining, and leisure facilities.
Phase One of Amaala,
focusing on the Triple Bay masterplan, is well underway, with the first guests
expected in early 2025. This phase will comprise eight resorts, offering more
than 1,200 hotel keys. Upon completion, Amaala in Saudi Arabia will feature
over 3,900 hotel rooms across 29 hotels, alongside approximately 1,200 luxury
residential villas, apartments, and estate homes, supporting high-end retail,
fine dining, wellness, and recreational amenities.
