Saudi Arabia makes amazing progress in road quality 

Saudi Arabia has demonstrated remarkable progress in the Road Quality Index (RQI), achieving a score of 5.7 as per the 2023 World Economic Forum (WEF) report.

This advancement positions the Kingdom at fourth place among the G20 countries. The RQI serves as a crucial measure for evaluating the quality of road networks, thus contributing significantly to ensuring user safety.

 

Saudi Arabia to establish 60 logistics zones by 2030

 

Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, credited this achievement to the steadfast support of the leadership and the concerted efforts aimed at upholding Saudi Arabia's global leadership in road network connectivity.

He emphasized the leadership's commitment to enhancing road quality, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring safety, and meeting the ambitious objectives outlined in the national transport and logistics services strategy aligned with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Badr Bin Abdullah Aldulami, Acting CEO of the Roads General Authority (RGA), underscored the substantial progress in the road sector throughout 2023, which has played a pivotal role in achieving this milestone.

The RGA noted that the WEF report signifies a significant surge in the Kingdom's RQI, rising from 5.2 to 5.7, reflecting a growth rate exceeding 10%, the highest among G20 countries.
