Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin
Salman, has announced plans to establish 60 logistics zones by the year 2030.
He made this declaration during his address at the Forum for International Cooperation held at the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative Summit in
Beijing. Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the substantial areas of alignment
between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Saudi Vision 2030.

The minister emphasized the significance of global economic impact, supply and value chains, and the need for collaborative efforts between countries, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. He also underscored the efficacy of China and Saudi Arabia's joint approaches through the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030 in promoting economic interconnection and integration, ultimately fortifying the capacity to face economic challenges and recover from crises.

Prince Abdulaziz further noted that 2022 marked the conclusion of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Saudi Arabia and China. Additionally, the two nations signed a harmonization plan that seeks to enhance opportunities for cooperation and interconnection across various sectors, aligning Saudi Vision 2030 with the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Belt and Road Initiative Summit, hosted by China's
President Xi Jinping, featured Russian President Vladimir Putin as the guest of
honor and attracted leaders and officials from over 130 countries on October 17
and 18.
