The Nissan Formula E Team is fully prepared for the upcoming
double header of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Diriyah, marking
the start of the 2024 Formula E season.

Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Team Principal of the
Nissan Formula E Team, expressed optimism, stating, “We saw encouraging signs
in Mexico, and our aim for Diriyah is to iron out any issues and ensure we can
operate smoothly. The double-header provides us with two opportunities to score
points, and our focus will be on learning from Friday's race to help us on
Saturday.”
Volpe also highlighted the partnership with Petromin Nissan
for the event in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the excitement of sharing Formula E
with Nissan's important market.

Diriyah E-Prix, being the only night race in the Formula E
calendar, holds a special place in Nissan's events roster. The challenging
street circuit promises an exhilarating experience for both drivers and
spectators.
Sacha Fenestraz commented on the track, saying, “Diriyah is
one of my favorite tracks on the Formula E calendar. Its blind corners and low
margin for error make it exciting to drive, and I have fond memories of it as I
scored my first ever Formula E points there.”
The track's high-speed, downhill section between Turns 6-14
demands concentration and bravery, while tire wear and the likelihood of
accidents add an element of strategic balance for the drivers.
Oliver Rowland emphasized the importance of qualifying on
the challenging track, stating, “Diriyah is a tough track to overtake on, so we
need to maximize our performance in qualifying.”
