Saudi Tourism Development Fund launches
program to boost tourism
The Tourism Development Fund (TDF)
of Saudi Arabia, a key driver of the national tourism sector, recently
showcased the achievements of the inaugural cohort of its Tourism Grow
Accelerator Program at a demo day and exhibition held at the KAFD Conference
Center in Riyadh.
The event, which drew investment
leaders, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and tourism investment
stakeholders, celebrated the progress of emerging startups in the programme.
His Highness Prince Saud Bin
Mohammed, Executive Director of TDF Grow, expressed his pride in the
programme’s participants. “We are immensely proud of the accomplishments these
startups have achieved during their time with the TDF Grow Accelerator Program.
Their success exemplifies our commitment to nurturing innovative ideas and
initiatives that align with our national tourism strategy and bolster the
Kingdom’s position as a premier global tourism destination,” he stated.

In alignment with Vision 2030, the
Saudi Ministry of Tourism aims to achieve over 150 million annual visits by
2030, create 1.6 million new jobs, and increase tourism’s contribution to GDP
to 10 percent.
The ceremony highlighted the
programme’s impact, noting that 15 projects—comprising 11 local startups and
four regional and international ventures—participated in over 20 training and
mentoring sessions. The programme has generated significant value for the
Kingdom’s tourism sector, with startups securing investments totaling over SAR
18 million.
