German sportwear brand to become supplier to Saudi match balls from February 2024
In a newly formed partnership with the Saudi Pro League,
German sportswear brand Adidas will supply an exclusive match ball for the
2024-2025 season of the Roshn Saudi League (RSL). The announcement, made on
Wednesday, revealed that Adidas would officially become the supplier of the
Saudi top flight's match balls from February 2024, contributing to the
commercial success of the RSL and promoting football throughout the Kingdom.
For the current season, RSL teams will use the Adidas
'Oceaunz' ball until August, when the upgraded version with a new color palette
will be introduced. Bilal Fares, the General Manager of Adidas EMC, expressed
pride in the partnership, stating that it aligns with the brand's broader
objectives to increase sports participation in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Fares emphasized Adidas's belief in the transformative power of sports and its
commitment to supporting the league's strategy to enhance the football sector,
making a positive impact in the Kingdom.

heavily invested in the sports sector, with 80 percent of Saudi nationals

achievements, including hosting major championships and recruiting high-profile
footballers. Notably, Saudi Arabia is currently hosting the Spanish Super Cup,
one of the significant football events of the year, featuring iconic Spanish
clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and CA Osasuna. Adidas's
long-term deal with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) and its
association with top national team players further solidify its commitment to
