NEOM's Shuhub Community Program to cultivate Saudi football talent

NEOM, a global partner of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), has unveiled the second edition of the Shuhub Community Program, with its main objective being the nurturing of the upcoming generation of Saudi Arabian football stars.

Building on the accomplishments of its initial debut in the prior year, the Shuhub Community Program is all set to orchestrate four distinct events spanning from September 2023 to March 2024. These events will create a platform for boys and girls from Tabuk, Jeddah, Dammam, and Riyadh to augment their footballing prowess. Anticipated to encompass a participant base exceeding 3,500 individuals hailing from across the Kingdom, the program will initiate its series of events at Tabuk's Fahad Bin Sultan University from September 12-16.

The Shuhub Community Program is primed to offer expert guidance provided by coaches from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), in addition to incorporating sports technology to gauge and enhance each participating child's football skills in various aspects, including shooting accuracy, reaction timing, and passing precision. Furthermore, friendly matches will be organized to translate acquired knowledge into practical gameplay.

Jan Paterson, the Managing Director of Sport at NEOM, articulated, "The Shuhub Community Program stands as a testament to NEOM's unwavering dedication to creating a platform for fostering emerging talent within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It simultaneously furnishes an opportunity for boys and girls to refine their skills, relish an enjoyable experience, and establish new friendships along the journey. This initiative is set to not only pave the way for individual progression but also to contribute to the advancement of community sports throughout the Kingdom."

The Shuhub Community Program is presently open for registrations for Saudi boys and girls aged between 7 to 12 years for the events in Tabuk and Jeddah, with the offerings in Riyadh and Dammam following suit.
