Saudi Arabia's AJEX Logistics Services expands into the US
Saudi company AJEX Logistics Services has announced its entry into the US
market, furthering its growth strategy introduced in China and the Middle East
the previous December. This expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030
goals and its commitment to strengthening connections with the global
community.
AJEX's presence in the US is expected to play a pivotal role in providing
logistics solutions for e-commerce brands, promoting industrial connectivity,
and supporting global trade hub operations in Saudi Arabia. A primary objective
for AJEX is to contribute to diversifying Saudi Arabia's economy across various
sectors while enhancing supply chain management solutions.
To lead its operations in the US, AJEX has appointed John Martin as the
general manager and Nourhan Beyrouti as the chief revenue officer for US
commercial operations.
John Martin expressed enthusiasm about the expansion into the US,
emphasizing its importance for AJEX and its role in fostering trade growth
between Saudi Arabia and the global market. He noted Saudi Arabia's status as
one of the fastest-growing G20 economies, highlighting how AJEX's presence in
the US will facilitate logistics solutions and partnerships beneficial to both
nations' economic prosperity.
This move marks a significant advancement in AJEX's growth strategy, as
it aims to secure market shares across various sectors. AJEX Logistics
Services, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Riyadh, specializes in Middle
East e-commerce distribution and industrial solutions. The company operates in
multiple regions, including the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and China.
Logistics is a critical component of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting the
country's efforts to diversify its economy and reduce dependence on oil.
Suliman Al-Mazroua, CEO of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program,
emphasized in an exclusive interview with Arab News in June 2022 that the
logistics sector requires substantial investment from both the government and
the private sector by 2030. Saudi Arabia is committed to creating a favorable
business environment to attract global transportation companies and establish
itself as one of the world's busiest logistics hubs.
