Red Sea Global starts revamping Al Wajh Airport
Red Sea Global (RSG) is to revitalize Al Wajh Airport (EJH)
in Saudi Arabia.
This project is aimed at modernizing the airport to meet
international standards. In addition to the enhancement of the current terminal
and infrastructure, RSG is set to construct a brand-new international terminal,
with the design details soon to be unveiled.
The transformation of EJH will enable it to effectively
cater to the burgeoning developments in the region, notably serving as a
gateway to the Amaala destination, also developed by RSG. Furthermore, the
airport will become the new operational hub for Fly Red Sea, Saudi Arabia's
pioneering seaplane company.

John Pagano, the Group CEO of Red Sea Global, expressed his
pride in this significant undertaking, stating, "Last year, Red Sea Global
announced a growing portfolio of projects along the Red Sea coast of Saudi
Arabia. I can reveal the first of those projects is to refurbish Al Wajh Airport,
making it a modern airport for the people of Tabuk. It's an honor to be the
developer of choice for this important work, ensuring Al Wajh is ready and
equipped to support the needs of the growing local community."
This development adds to the burgeoning roster of aviation
projects under the RSG umbrella, following last month's launch of domestic
flights at the Red Sea International Airport (RSI), which now operates on a
regular schedule. Additionally, RSG is actively working on a secondary private
airport situated in close proximity to its key destinations.

As part of the comprehensive modernization efforts at EJH,
four flights, operated by SAUDIA, will be relocated from EJH to RSI. Starting

RSI at 4:05pm. A pre-existing Saturday service will land at RSI at the new time
of 2.45pm, departing at 3.35pm.
Additionally, a third flight to Riyadh will commence on
Sundays, arriving at 8.30am and departing RSI at 9.25am. The airport will also
introduce flights to and from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah
for the first time. The Jeddah service will operate every Thursday, touching
down at RSI at 2.20pm before returning to JED at 3:00pm. A Sunday service will
arrive at RSI at 7.40am, departing back to JED at 8.20am.
