Red Sea Global launches "Fly Red Sea" - Saudi Arabia's pioneering seaplane company

Red Sea Global has unveiled "Fly Red Sea," Saudi Arabia's inaugural seaplane company dedicated to providing convenient transportation to the island resorts of the Red Sea. Committed to sustainability, Fly Red Sea's initial fleet features four Cessna Caravan 208 seaplanes, all powered by sustainable aviation fuel, as announced by RSG on their website, www.redseaglobal.com.

These seaplanes are equipped to transport a pilot and up to six passengers with luggage for transfers to water-based resorts, or they can accommodate up to nine guests for scenic tours throughout the entire destination, according to RSG. John Pagano, the Group CEO of Red Sea Global and a pilot himself, played a pivotal role in establishing Fly Red Sea. He outlined the company's mission, emphasizing their exploration of technologies to reduce the aviation industry's carbon footprint and their dedication to providing fulfilling career opportunities for the Saudi people.

Saudia to become inaugural airline partner of Red Sea International Airport

Fly Red Sea has selected the Red Sea International (RSI) Airport in Hanak, Tabuk region, as its home base. This airport boasts a dedicated seaplane runway parallel to the main terminal. Fly Red Sea's inaugural seaplane flight took off on October 11, coinciding with the arrival of the airport's first distinguished guests, a VIP delegation of Saudi ministers, and other leaders aboard a specially liveried Saudia flight from Riyadh. The airport, inaugurated on September 21, 2023, was established to serve the Kingdom's Red Sea Development and Amaala tourism megaprojects.

By 2030, when the new tourism destination reaches full completion, it will encompass 50 resorts, offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and over 1,000 residential properties spread across 22 islands and six inland sites. The comprehensive plans, which include luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment options, food and beverage facilities, and leisure amenities, are detailed on redseaglobal.com.
