Diriyah Entrepreneurship Initiative" launched in hospitality, tourism, and arts sectors

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has introduced the "Diriyah Entrepreneurship Initiative," a program designed to empower entrepreneurs with the skills and resources necessary to make a positive contribution to the Kingdom's economy.

This initiative aims to safeguard Diriyah's cultural heritage by nurturing businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs in sectors such as hospitality, tourism, retail, culture, and the arts. It builds upon Diriyah's previous collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), strengthening the ongoing partnership between the two organizations.

Jerry Inzerillo, the Group CEO of DGDA, stated, "The Diriyah Entrepreneurship Initiative is a transformative journey that equips individuals and groups with essential skills to overcome challenges, foster innovative ideas, and drive business growth through cutting-edge technology and robust support systems. Our initiative welcomes a diverse range of participants, from aspiring high school and university entrepreneurs to experienced industry professionals and visionary business owners in the dynamic sectors of hospitality, tourism, retail, culture, and the arts. Within the comprehensive array of programs and events our initiative offers, entrepreneurs will discover a catalyst for building invaluable connections, gaining profound insights, and honing the skills that can redefine their path to success."

The initiative aims to attract and empower both new and experienced entrepreneurs and partners, raising their awareness of the business environment in which they will operate and the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. It also provides them with modern tools and resources to strengthen their business development plans and strategies.

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) will collaborate in creating training programs and workshops for the accelerator. Moreover, Monsha'at will offer capacity-building services such as training, consultations, and content reviews for the programs and workshops. It will also provide advisory services through the "Nawafth" application and leverage the services offered by the Mazaya platform for entrepreneurs in the accelerator program. Monsha'at will further extend various services to support the participants in the program.

The initiative comprises two tracks: "Diriyah Entrepreneurial Sessions," featuring diverse workshops and events conducted by industry experts to promote entrepreneurship. These sessions will cover topics related to Diriyah's business landscape, equipping regional entrepreneurs with valuable insights to start their operations and fostering relevant discussions and knowledge-sharing opportunities. The second track is the "Diriyah Accelerator Program," tailored for entrepreneurs and business owners operating in or serving Diriyah, or those considering relocating their ventures to Diriyah. Participants can tap into the expertise of renowned experts and speakers to further enhance their projects.
