Jacobs secures design consultant contract for Saudi Arabia's
Global Logistics Hub
Jacobs (NYSE: J) has been selected by NEOM Company (NEOM) as the
principal design consultant for the ambitious Port of NEOM redevelopment
initiative in northwest Saudi Arabia. This project, situated in NEOM's
innovative industrial city, Oxagon, is set to revolutionize the existing
facility into a cutting-edge, sustainable global logistics hub with a net-zero
environmental footprint.
The Port of NEOM's transformation aims to create the world's
first integrated port and supply chain system, characterized by full automation
and powered entirely by renewable energy sources. The project's design and
construction will incorporate an array of sustainability measures, such as the
reclamation and reuse of materials and structures whenever possible, and the
utilization of low-carbon steel frames for constructing quay walls.

area.
