Neom’s Trojena to feature The Vault, a folded village
The Vault, a vertical ultra-modern village, is a revolutionary project inside Neom’s Trojena.
Explaining the vertical village, Trojena executive director
Philip Gullett said: “It plays into the whole concept of NEOM, with 95 percent
of the land being reserved for nature. The Vault is one of our unique
offerings. Its incredible design supports some of NEOM’s important principles
like sustainability, preservation of land and getting away from the normal
approach to building cities on a grid.”
The Vault, folds in on itself, tucked inside a hollowed
mountain. It will be 198 metres high, 253 metres wide and 864 metres long with
a total area of 200,000 sq m.
The Vault will comprise more than 450 homes, 1,000 hotel
rooms spread across five- and four-star hotels, and what NEOM calls “specialist
hospitality” spaces. There will also be 13,000 metres squared of retail and
dining space.
The Vault will be supplemented with virtual reality,
augmented reality and metaverse. It will be a distinct place connecting the
physical and digital worlds.
A digital hub of Trojena, The Vault will feature digital
museum; an auditorium and Expo venue; dedicated gaming and VR gaming spaces;
and ‘cogniverse’ spaces.
