Saudi Arabia’s sustainability efforts recognized by Mostadam Diamond
Certification
Red Sea Global (
The achievement includes Diamond certification for 169 buildings within
the Amaala staff village, organized across eight assets, as well as
certifications covering 42 buildings across four assets at The Red
Sea destination.
The Mostadam framework, Saudi Arabia’s national green building rating
system, assesses developments against a range of sustainability criteria,
including energy and water efficiency, renewable energy integration, occupant
health and comfort, connectivity, and construction waste management.
At Amaala, all 169 residential buildings in the staff village achieved Mostadam
Diamond, the highest certification level under the national framework. The
rating underscores RSG’s focus on developing sustainable, high-quality
communities for its workforce.

At The Red Sea, the professional Beach Club and Turtle Bay Hotel also
received Diamond certification. Meanwhile, the Red Sea studio apartments,
comprising 15 buildings, and the Red Sea Type Z development, comprising 25
buildings, achieved Gold certification.
The certifications demonstrate the application of Mostadam standards
across a diverse portfolio of residential, hospitality and leisure developments
and support Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 objectives to promote
sustainable, resource-efficient and high-quality built environments.
The certifications were formally recognized during a ceremony with National
Housing Company Innovation (NHCI), represented by Zeyad Alaqel, CEO of Real
Estate Services. NHCI presented RSG with 12 Mostadam certification plaques covering
projects at both destinations.
The event also recognized the contributions of RSG’s design, construction
and sustainability teams in delivering projects that meet the Kingdom’s evolving
environmental and development standards.
Amaala’s staff village had previously received recognition at the design
stage through the Ajwad Initiative, a joint program of Saudi Arabia’s
Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the Quality of Life Program under
Vision 2030. The initiative recognizes developers that meet high standards in
environmental sustainability and urban development.

The latest certifications come as RSG continues to expand its tourism
portfolio. The Red Sea destination is now welcoming guests at 11 hotels,
while Amaala opened its first three resorts in 2026.
RSG said the certifications reinforce its commitment to embedding
sustainability principles throughout the planning, design and delivery of its
destinations.
