Prince Rakan’s leadership comes as Diriyah
transitions from the historic capital of the First Saudi State into a
world-class cultural and tourism hub designed to meet the aspirations of the
21st century.
Born in 1997, Prince Rakan is the youngest son
of King Salman. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from King Saud University
in Riyadh, bringing legal expertise to a role that combines heritage
preservation with modern governance and strategic planning.
Diriyah is currently witnessing unprecedented growth, evolving beyond its image as a heritage site into a vast, integrated development zone with plans to attract up to 100 million visitors annually by 2030.
