Saudi Arabia: Three landmark attractions to entertain guests at Six Flags Qiddiya City

Qiddiya brings together sports venues, entertainment attractions, a waterpark and multiple theme parks

Saudi Arabia's city of play brings numerous attractions for visitors

Six Flags Qiddiya City officially opened on December 31, introducing three landmark attractions developed by Intamin at the Kingdom’s newest theme park destination. The park forms part of the wider Qiddiya project, a cornerstone of Saudi Vision 2030 focused on creating a purpose-built city for entertainment, sports and leisure.

Designed as a city built for play, Qiddiya brings together sports venues, entertainment attractions, a waterpark and multiple theme parks. Six Flags Qiddiya City is the project’s first major asset to welcome guests.

Among its headline offerings are Falcons Flight and Spitfire, two Intamin LSM launch roller coasters engineered to push performance boundaries. Collectively, the two attractions hold four world records. Complementing the high-adrenaline rides is Skywatch, a custom-designed Flying Island that gently lifts guests into the air, offering sweeping views across the park and the surrounding Tuwaiq Mountains.

Falcons Flight
Billed as the world’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster, Falcons Flight is powered by Intamin’s LSM drive system. The attraction was engineered to achieve record-breaking performance while maintaining rider comfort. Aerodynamically shaped trains and windshields are designed to cut through the air efficiently, balancing speed, comfort and safety.

Spitfire
Dominating the Six Flags Qiddiya City skyline at 73 metres (240 feet), Spitfire features the world’s tallest roller coaster inversion. The ride reaches speeds of up to 127 km/h (79 mph) through a triple-launch sequence driven by Intamin’s LSM technology. Incorporating Fast Switch technology and a vertical spike, Spitfire delivers moments of weightlessness, airtime over multiple humps and an inverted top-hat finale across 900 metres of track.

Skywatch
For a more relaxed experience, Skywatch elevates guests 45 metres above ground, providing 360-degree panoramic views. Its tent-inspired Flying Island design integrates seamlessly into the park’s landscape, transforming the attraction into a visual landmark both on the ground and in the air.

Together, the three Intamin attractions underscore Six Flags Qiddiya City’s ambition to position itself as a global destination for world-class thrills and immersive entertainment.
