Work progressing on NEOM's Oxagon project at a fast pace
CEVA Logistics
has successfully managed the transportation of dredging pipes for DEME, as part
of the groundbreaking Oxagon
project in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM region.
The logistics operation involved moving 61 out-of-gauge
containers, each 40 feet in length, from Egypt to Saudi Arabia via both ground
and sea transport. The entire delivery was completed within an ambitious
one-week timeframe.

As a key element of the NEOM initiative—a visionary project
aimed at redefining urban development for the future—this delivery played a
vital role in the dredging operations critical to the project's success.
“CEVA Logistics was entrusted with the responsibility of
ensuring the timely delivery of all 61 containers containing pipes needed for
ongoing construction at NEOM’s Oxagon site,” said a spokesperson from the
company. “Our ability to meet this tight deadline was crucial in keeping the
project on track.”
DEME Group, overseeing the
dredging works for Oxagon, is now preparing for the second phase of the
project, with extensive site development already underway along the Red Sea
coast.

This next phase will see the expansion of the Port of Duba,
with the creation of a new basin and quayside designed to handle automated
container operations. The dredging work will also facilitate access for the
