Diriyah welcomes return of Terhal, a theatrical celebration of Saudi heritage
The curtain has risen on the second edition of Terhal, a dynamic theatrical performance celebrating Saudi culture and heritage. Held at
the scenic Mayadeen site in Diriyah, the event opened Monday evening and will
run through August 25. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Terhal has drawn
large crowds with its immersive blend of storytelling, music, and visual
spectacle.
At the heart of Terhal is the story of Saad, a young Saudi
embarking on a journey across the Kingdom in search of identity and purpose. As
he travels through the country’s diverse landscapes, Saad discovers his roots,
embraces the legacy of his ancestors, and envisions a future shaped by ambition
and heritage.
