Saudi Arabia's AlUla producing over one thousand tons of mangoes annually
AlUla province is rapidly gaining recognition as
one of Saudi Arabia’s key agricultural centers, producing over 1,000 tonnes of
mangoes annually across more than 125 hectares of farmland.
According to the Royal Commission for AlUla, as
reported by the Saudi Press Agency, the region is home to more than 50,000
mango trees, yielding approximately 1,125 tonnes of fruit each year. This
output places AlUla among the top mango-producing areas in the Kingdom.

Locally cultivated mango varieties such as
"Zebda," "Senara," and "Keitt" are especially
prized for their rich flavor and high quality — attributes credited to AlUla’s
fertile soil and favorable growing conditions.
The mango harvest season runs from July through
September, drawing visitors to the province’s farms to enjoy the seasonal fruit
and experience AlUla’s agricultural charm.
The Royal Commission continues to invest in
modernizing the local agricultural sector. Current efforts focus on improving
farming infrastructure, advancing sustainable practices, and strengthening food
security — all while preserving AlUla’s unique environmental and cultural
heritage.
