An innovative smart city redefining the world of work
As part of the deal, Kakao Mobility will supply
integrated mobility solutions to the 'Diriyah Project,' a major urban
development initiative led by the Saudi government. The agreement includes a
proof of concept (PoC) project to implement a digital parking infrastructure in
Diriyah, which spans 14 square kilometers and is expected to accommodate around
60,000 vehicles.
Kakao Mobility’s solution will incorporate
advanced technologies, including its mobile network-based indoor positioning
system 'FIN' and its centralized parking control system 'UPC', to build and
operate a digital parking platform in the area.
The two parties will evaluate key aspects such
as user experience, operational efficiency, and smart parking capabilities
through the PoC. Based on the results, they will explore broader applications
across the development zone and consider further collaboration on demand-driven
mobility services.
