Pakistan seeks to export skilled labor to Saudi Arabia
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has
highlighted the opportunity to increase Pakistan’s exports to Saudi Arabia,
particularly in the skilled labor sector, driven by the growing demand for
skilled workers under Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030.
In an interview with Arab News at the Alula
Conference for Emerging Market Economies, the Finance Minister explained that
this aligns with the Kingdom’s expanding workforce needs as it moves forward
with its Vision 2030 goals.
He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s increasing
influence in regional economic transformation, with Pakistan recognizing the
Kingdom’s progress as a valuable model for its own development.

The Finance Minister also noted that Saudi
Arabia’s leadership in economic reforms offers key lessons for Pakistan as it
undergoes its own structural changes.
With the Kingdom well ahead of its Vision 2030
targets, he stated, “There is so much for Pakistan to learn from our partners
in Saudi Arabia.”
He further mentioned the growing Saudi
investments in Pakistan, particularly in the business-to-business sector,
pointing to recent developments like Saudi Aramco’s entry into the downstream
petroleum industry and ongoing discussions about government-to-government
agreements.
