Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya to offer immersive entertainment
As part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision
2030 goals, Qiddiya Investment Co. (QIC), fully owned by the Kingdom’s Public
Investment Fund, has partnered with tech firm Globant to transform Qiddiya City
into an immersive digital entertainment hub.
The partnership will focus on
developing the “Qiddiya PLAY LIFE Connected Experience,” a digital ecosystem
for entertainment, sports, and culture that will redefine visitor interaction
through personalized, tech-driven engagement. "Our partnership with
Globant is a key milestone in establishing Qiddiya as the world’s first city
dedicated entirely to play,” said Abdulrahman Al-Ali, QIC’s chief technology
officer. “This collaboration ensures that each visitor’s experience is
seamless, innovative, and unforgettable.”

The PLAY LIFE Connected Experience
will use AI, data analytics, and cloud technologies to create a personalized
interface, allowing visitors to manage bookings, itineraries, and new
activities in real-time. This platform will enhance every interaction at
Qiddiya, from exploring attractions to engaging with the community.

digitally connected experience that goes beyond traditional entertainment. This
project represents the future of city and visitor interaction, and we’re

The collaboration also supports
Saudi Arabia’s workforce development in technology. Mamdouh Al-Doubayan,
Globant’s managing director for MENA, noted that projects like Qiddiya offer
vital opportunities for upskilling and reskilling Saudi talent. "Through
this project, we’re fostering a future-ready workforce and helping position
Saudi Arabia as a leader in digital ecosystems,” he said.
This initiative showcases how
digital ecosystems can elevate the Kingdom’s entertainment and cultural
sectors, furthering its ambitions in global tourism and innovation.
