Kunak Technologies has won the “Best
Air Quality Network Monitoring Award” at the AQE Awards 2024, held on October
9-10 in Birmingham, UK. The award recognizes Kunak’s innovative environmental
monitoring project in NEOM, Saudi Arabia.
This groundbreaking project monitors
air and water quality in the Red Sea through ocean buoys equipped with advanced
sensors. The ten buoys, stationed less than 50 meters from shore, are outfitted
with Kunak AIR Pro sensors that provide accurate, real-time environmental data,
supporting comprehensive studies and efforts to conserve regional biodiversity.

During the AQE 2024 exhibition,
Kunak’s CEO and co-founder, Javier Fernández Huerta, R&D Manager Irene Lara
Ibeas, and International Sales Director Claudia Barrios Obregón presented the
company’s environmental solutions. The NEOM project was chosen for the award by
a mix of judge evaluations and popular votes, underscoring its significant
impact.
