Saudi Arabia promoting cultural integration and inclusivity
The Saudi Ministry of Media has
unveiled the ‘Global Harmony’ initiative, a part of the Kingdom's ‘Quality of
Life’ program, which is a key pillar of Vision 2030. Launched at Al-Suwaidi
Park, this initiative aims to showcase the diversity and inclusivity of Saudi
society, highlighting the cultural and social integration of communities from various backgrounds across the Kingdom.
‘Global Harmony’ seeks to provide a
comprehensive view of life within Saudi Arabia by sharing stories that capture
a wide range of cultural and social experiences. Through this initiative,
residents' lives are brought into focus—celebrating their professional
achievements, family lives, social engagements, and contributions to the
economy, all of which enrich the Saudi social landscape.

Additionally, the initiative
underscores efforts by both government and private sectors to improve quality
of life in Saudi cities. This includes enhancing public services, expanding
recreational facilities, and creating more opportunities for cultural exchange.
In partnership with the General Entertainment Authority, ‘Global Harmony’
integrates with Riyadh Season, a series of cultural and artistic events that
have become a focal point for international media coverage. The goal is to
highlight Saudi Arabia’s openness and hospitality, inviting media from around
the world to experience the Kingdom's dynamic lifestyle.
As part of Riyadh Season—held
annually from October to March—nine nations with significant resident
communities in Saudi Arabia are featured through a 49-day series of cultural
events that began on October 13. These include India, the Philippines,
Indonesia, Pakistan, Yemen, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Bangladesh, and
Egypt. The events showcase traditional foods, handicrafts, music, and performances,
fostering intercultural understanding and respect among Saudi residents and
visitors alike. With family festivals, art exhibitions, and live concerts,
Riyadh Season allows Saudis and expatriates to experience a unique blend of
global cultural heritages.
