Agreement signed to preserve Diriyah's cultural
heritage and support artisans
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and the HERFA Association have
signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to preserve the cultural heritage of
Diriyah and support local artisans.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Adviser to the CEO of
DGDA, and Rawan Ibrahim Al-Flieo, CEO of HERFA Association. It focuses on key
areas such as leveraging the skills of Saudi artisans to enhance significant
sites in Diriyah, incorporating their products into local events, and
implementing various training programs.

The partnership will also involve knowledge exchange and collaboration on
community engagement initiatives.
This MoU underscores the commitment of both organizations to safeguarding
Saudi Arabia's craft heritage, promoting national identity through traditional
crafts, and acknowledging the vital role artisans play in enriching the
Kingdom's cultural landscape.
